I really love the title Bonnie Watkins (the blogger) gave this article. It’s true that feminists can and do disagree all the time – it’s a hallmark of our movement, and it’s something to be proud of. There is no official “party line” for women because it’s the individual voices of women that matter most of all. Learning from each other is cool.

Thanks for the plug Erin and kudos right back atchu. This business about the party line is so interesting. In the olden days at the Commission on the Economic Status of Women we used to get calls all the time assuming we were “Feminism Central” and could dictate party line (while also presumably doing abortions in the back closet)… I love it that you see this lack of central organizing as a hallmark, and good thing, about our beloved movement…
